Charlie Venice Border Collie mix - Stopping a Cute Venice Beach Dog From Nipping People Who Move Quickly

For this Venice Beach dog training session, we use counterconditioning to stop 8 year-old Border Collie mix Charlie from nipping people who move quickly.

Stopping a dog from nipping people using positive reinforcement isn’t something you need to be a professional Border Collie dog trainer to do. As long as you keep the dog from reacting and go at the dog’s pace, this is a great way to stop a dog from nipping people running by.

We discussed a number of other dog behavior tips that will help Charlie feel more confident in his guardian’s leadership. I tried to teach him how to focus on his guardian on command as this will give his human a powerful tool to redirect him away from things that he may react too. Id love to hear from his guardian that he mastered this exercise in the next week to ten days.

To help the guardian remember all the other dog training tips I shared with her in this in home Venice Beach dog training session, we filmed a roadmap to success video.
