Archie - Helping a Dog Practice Being Alone to Help Stop its Separation Anxiety

For this Santa Monica dog training session, we share tips to help 2 year-old Maltipoo Archie help get over his separation anxiety.

When you are trying to help a dog get over separation anxiety, its important to build up its confidence and not get upset if it acts out with accidents or chewing as these are signs of panic and anxiety and absolutely not intentional.

This secret to stopping separation anxiety in dogs isn’t hard, it just takes time, practice and lots of repetition. The more the dog practices staying calm when alone in an easy capacity, the more confident it gets. The more confident a dog is the less the dog suffers from separation anxiety.

Anyone can stop separation anxiety in dogs this way, you don’t have to be a professional Maltipoo dog trainer to do this. You just need patience, time and lots of really tasty treats!

We covered a number of dog training tips in this in home Santa Monica dog training session so we recorded a roadmap to success video to summarize it all.
