Tips to Help a Dog Learn to Not Jump Up on People

For this Omaha dog training session we teach 1 year-old German Shepherd Nova (pictured here on the right with his roomie 1 year-old Kaeto) to stop jumping on guests who come to visit.
Stopping a dog from jumping up on guests this way is awesome as it allows the dog to learn on its own instead of us micromanaging the dog. I love this form of learning as a Dog Behaviorist. Helping dogs learn to stop jumping this way just takes some forethought. And anyone can do it, even if you are not a professional German Shepherd dog trainer.
Id like to see the guardians have a guest come by once a week at least so they can practice this approach to stop the dog from jumping up. The more they practice, the faster the dog will learn to stop jumping.
To help the guardians remember the other dog behavior tips we covered in this in home Omaha dog behavior help session, we recorded a roadmap to success video.
